Political Betting Odds at Bodog.com Political Betting Odds at Bodog.com Bodog posts odds on who will win the November 7th, 2006 senate election for the state of Utah: Pete Ashdown (DEM), Orrin Hatch (REP) or Field (Any Other Candidate)? Pete Ashdown (DEM): 11/1 Orrin Hatch (REP): 1/19 Field (Any Other Candidate): 45/1 Hatch’s opponent Pete Ashdown is hoping all this negative publicity surrounding Hatch will help to give him the title as Senator of Utah. Ashdown knows he has a tough road ahead of him but is willing to do what it takes to remove Hatch from the Senate seat. Ashdown is trying to draw attention to the fact that Hatch endorses entertainment industry backed bills that would, without understatement, create the equivalent of a copyright police state. Hatch has terrorized techies by sponsoring the much loathed DMCA. He is also a co-sponsor of the Induce Act, which is a bill that aimed to hold tech companies responsible for creating devices that could be used to pirate digital content.
