Will Alberto Gonzales still be Attorney General on the Fourth of July?Embattled United States Attorney General Alberto Gonzales continues to have the support of President George W. Bush after testifying in front of a Senate Judiciary Committee about why he fired eight federal prosecutors.

Gonzales apologized to the eight federal prosecutors who were dismissed. Despite his apologies, Alberto is still on the hot seat. Bodog.com is offering a great value bet of +140 that Alberto Gonzales would still be the Attorney General on the Fourth of July 2007.

"This is an honest, honorable man in whom I have confidence," President George W. Bush said today from the White House.

Gonzales was scolded by most of the Republicans and all of the Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Republican Tom Coburn of Oklahoma, urged Gonzales to quit, while the senior Republican, Senator Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania, told Gonzales that his credibility has been "impaired" by the scandal.

Gonzales's testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee "increased my confidence in his ability to do his job,'' Bush said in remarks today at the White House. ``It was clear the attorney general broke no laws.''

Bodog.com has posted betting odds on whether Alberto Gonzales will still be Attorney General of the United States on July 4th 2007:

Yes: +140

No: -180
