NASCAR at Daytona: Budweiser Shootout Odds

The green flag on the 2008 NASCAR season will drop on Sunday with the running of The Budweiser Shootout, a 70-lap non-points All-Star race that features last season’s pole winners and past Budweiser Shootout champions. Last year’s champion Tony Stewart will be one of a record field of 23 drivers to vie for the $200,000 purse. The starting lineup for Sunday’s race will be determined by a drawing Thursday night. The event will also mark Dale Earnhardt Jr. in his Hendrix Motorsports debut.

Earnhardt and Hendrix teammate Jeff Gordon are favorites to win the Budweiser Shootout installed with 4/1 odds according to oddsmakers at online sports wagering giant Bodoglife.com. Jimmie Johnson, also of the Hendrix team, is a 5/1 odds favorite followed by last years champion Tony Stewart at 6/1.
