Kyle Busch labored through an up and down 2009 campaign, winning four races and recording nine top five results while 
failing to qualify for the Chase for the Sprint Cup by just one position. His year was symbolized quite well by his fate at last year's Daytona 500. Busch looked to be in line for his first 500 win after leading 88 laps, but was caught up in a late wreck that relegated him to a 41st finish.
After last season's Sprint Cup Series roller coaster ride, Busch has his eyes set on greater consistency in 2010, something he practiced well in securing the 2009 Nationwide crown. That discipline could start this weekend at Daytona, where Busch is looking for his second career win at the renowned speedway.
"There's no reason why we can't win the 500 and the Cup Championship," Busch said.
In 10 career outings at the track, the Las Vegas native has produced one win (2008 Coke Zero 400), four top fives, and four top ten finishes. However, his average finish at the Daytona 500, despite one top five run, is 26th.
Busch, who drives the No. 18 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing, will begin tomorrow's race in the seventh position on the fourth row.
