Matt Kenseth Odds to win 2010 Auto Club 500: Matt Kenseth is hoping race number two of the 2010 season looks a lot like last year's first visit to Fontana, California. Kenseth, who took the top spot in last season's Auto Club 500 after leading 84 laps, will give it another whirl this afternoon in the 250 lap event at the Auto Club Speedway. The race is set to get underway at 3:00pm ET and it will be televised live on FOX. Matt Kenseth had a busy week following his eight place run in the Daytona 500 (started 24th). Not only did the Wisconsin 
native travel coast-to-coast, he also fired his old crew chief and hired a new one. Out the door was Drew Blickensderfer and in was Todd Parrott. Kenseth won the first two races of the 2009 season, but things soured after that and apparantly so did his relationship with his Blickensderfer.
Parrott, while no doubt cramming to get things together with his new team, should have plenty of help from Kenseth this week. The 37 year old has built quite a resume at the Auto Club Speedway, and his prowess there should take some pressure off Parrott. In 16 career outings at the track, Kenseth has three wins (19 percent), seven top five (44 percent), and 11 top 10 finishes (69 percent). His average finishing result at the facility is a stellar 9.2, a whopping 13.2 positions ahead of his average starting spot.
"Fontana is typically a very good track for me and the No. 17 team," said Kenseth, who drives the Crown Royal Ford Fusion for Jack Roush Racing. "So it's nice going there early on in the season."
Kenseth qualified 14th for today's race; he will start on the outside of the seventh row next to old teammate Mark Martin.
