Trevor Bayne might have defied odds makers by winning last weeks Dayton 500 as a +3000 underdog, but is not expected to repeat when the NASCAR Sprint Cup field gathers in Phoenix to run the 2011 Subway Fresh Fit 500 Sunday (3 PM Eastern). Bayne will have to qualify in his backup car after wrecking his No. 21 Woods Brothers owned Motorcraft Ford in practice.
As of Saturday morning, the NASCAR odds at offshore sports book BetUS.com listed Jimmi Johnson and Denny Hamlin as pre-race co-favorites at +500 odds. Carl Edwards is lined with third best winning odds at +550. Also considered as top contenders are Kyle Busch +500 and Tony Stewart, Kevin Harvick and Jeff Gordon, all at +1200.
