Last year's Indy 500 winner, Scott Dixon, is currently listed at 4 to 1 odds at Bodog.com to repeat as champion this year. The New Zealander will start Sunday's 93rd running of the Indianapolis 500 from the fifth position in the second row. Scott Dixon, who won last year's race after garnering the pole, was not totally displeased with his qualifying position; however, he inidicated that he will be working quickly to get to the front of the pack once the race is underway. "I definitely want to gain a good two or three spots in the first couple of laps. I'm going to go out fairly aggressive," Dixon said. "That's going to count at the end of the race so I want to be aggressive to make up some of the spots I missed in qualifying." The 28 year old Dixon is coming off a win at the Road Runner Turbo Indy 300 at Kansas Speedway and is currently fourth in the IRL standings with 81 points. He trails his Chip Ganassi teammate, Dario Franchitti (third place), by 15 points. A second win at Indy could vault him to the top of the standings and put him in some special company as a multiple winner at the Brickyard. Dixon, who drives the No. 9 Target Honda, has already built an impressive resume as a driver, but another victory at Indy would be a welcome addition. "The first one (Indy win) is something you strive for and push as hard as possible for," Dixon said. "It's hard to repeat anything but it would mean a huge amount of gratification to do a double." The Indianapolis 500 is set to begin at 12:00pm ET this Sunday, May 24th. The event will be televised live on ABC.
