The NASCAR Nationwide Racing Series heads into Daytona, Fla., Friday July 4^th for the second time in 2008 for the Winn-Dixie 250 at Daytona International Speedway. In the midst of a career year in both Nationwide series and Sprint Cup racing, Kyle Busch of Joe Gibbs Racing is installed as the race favorite with 3/1 odds by oddsmakers at online sportsbetting giant Bodog (Bodoglife.com). Busch, a five time winner in Sprint Cup Racing will be looking for his fifth win on the Nationwide circuit car in 2008. Dale Earnhardt Jr. of Hendrick Motorsports is expected to put up a strong challenge to Busch at 7/2 odds. Denny Hamlin also of Joe Gibbs Racing is installed at 4/1 odds.

Tony Stewart, a third driver of the Joe Gibbs stable and winner of the Camping World 300 Nationwide Series event at Daytona in February, is not entered for Friday’s race.

In other Nationwide Series racing news, the older son of the late Dale Earnhardt and brother of Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kerry Earnhardt will drive a Dale Earnhardt Inc. entry in a NASCAR race. Oddsmakers have not issued winning odds on Kerry Earnhardt at this time.

Earnhardt will pilot the No. 8 Chevrolet in the Nationwide Series race on Friday at Daytona International Speedway.

"I've won several races with DEI in an ARCA car, but I'm really looking forward to driving a fast car at Daytona under the DEI umbrella," Earnhardt said to the NASCAR.com website. "I appreciate DEI giving me the opportunity to get back in a car, especially one that I know will be fast and competitive. I love running the speedways and can't wait for the weekend to get here."

Earnhardt, will be making his 70th career start in the series, but only his fifth Nationwide start since 2003. He most recently competed regularly in the Craftsman Truck Series in 2006.

It will be Earnhardt's ninth career Nationwide Series start at Daytona.
