NASCAR Betting Odds: The Sprint Cup Series is in the state of Illinois this week for the running of the Lifelock.com 400 at Chicagoland Speedway. The event is set to get underway at 7:30pm ET on Saturday, July 11th. The race will be broadcast live on TNT. Johnson is favored to finish ahead of Busch at -145 on the moneyline.

Jimmie Johnson could easily be labeled Mr. Consistency and last week he, again, demonstrated why that would be an apt moniker as he took second place in the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona. The quality finish was the fifth top ten result for Johnson in his last six races and it was his eighth top five finish of the season.

Johnson, who has two wins this year in 18 races, is third in the cup standings with a total of 2525 points. He is 194 points behind Tony Stewart.

The California native does not have a win at Chicagoland Speedway, but he has still been impressive at the track. In seven career races at the facility he has garnered five top fives and six top tens. 

Kyle Busch looked to have the Coke Zero 400 wrapped up last weekend, but suffered a brutal wreck on the last lap after Tony Stewart bumped him in the rear quarter panel. The ensuing mayhem led to a Stewart win and left Busch with a 14th place finish. The stunning conclusion marked the fifth time in the last six races that the 24 year old Busch finished outside the top 10.

Busch should be excited to return to Chicagoland, not only to put last week behind him, but also to make a move in the cup standings. The Las Vegas product, who is currently eighth in points with a tally of 2234, has been amazing at the track in his previous four races there. Busch won at the facility last year after leading 165 laps and he has two top fives and two top tens at the venue. 

Qualifying for this weekend's race is scheduled to take place tonight at 8:30pm ET. Matchup odds are subject to change after the starting positions have been set.
