While Kyle Busch , of Joe Gibbs Racing, might have the hot hand overall with six wins this season, he will be sharing the favorites role at Chicagoland Speedway for the Lifelock.com 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Saturday night with rival and three time winner Carl Edwards of Jack Roush racing. According to oddsmakers at online sports wagering leader SBGglobal.com , Busch and Edwards are equally installed at +500 money line odds to win the race.After Busch and Edwards, oddsmakers expect Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt Jr. of the Hendrick Motorsports team to be in the hunt with each installed at +750 winning odds.
Busch won last weeks Coke Zero 400 race at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona, Fla., with Edwards close behind in second. The win at Daytona ensured Busch’s Sprint Cup points lead. Edwards however 249 points behind Busch in fourth place in the Cup Standings.
"You know, if he wins one or two more, he's almost got a freebie there if he blows an engine or has a bad race or something,” said Edwards. “They are doing it right, and that's going to be hard for the rest of us. Those points, we're going to have to make up, that's just the way it is."
