Sprint Cup 2010 Brickyard 400 Odds & Predictions: Juan Pablo Montoya of Chip Ganassi Racing, has won here before and from the way he qualified, he can win at Indianapolis again but this time on the NASCAR Circuit in the Sprint Cup Brickyard 400. Sunday, 1 pm Eastern, Montoya will start the race at the famed Indianapolis speedway on the pole.
Mark Martin qualified third, Jamie McMurray fourth and Ryan Newman fifth. Kevin Harvick, who leads the Sprint Cup Series in points, will start ninth.
Montoya qualified for the top starting position after turning a 2.5 mile lap at 182.278 mph. In qualifying, Montoya held off race favorite Jimmie Johnson for the pole.
It was only a year ago when Montoya led most of the race and looked like the probable winner when he was penalized for a speeding violation on pit road. Johnson then went on to win for the second time in as many years.
Racing fans who are looking for a winner today should load up on the top favorites, Johnson, Montoya and Stewart. We fully expect the race to come down to these three guys. History has shown the Brickyard 400 goes to top drivers.
