Edwards is also the reigning champion at Bristol having won the Sharpie 500 last year. Oddsmakers at online sportsbook SBGglobal.com have listed Edwards as the race favorite at +450 odds. Busch of Joe Gibbs Racing is listed with the second best odds at +500.

Edwards enters Bristol second in the NASCAR Sprint Cup point standings, 222 markers behind point leader Kyle Busch. In 23 starts, Edwards has accumulated five wins, 10 top-five and 17 top-10 finishes. This is his ninth Cup start at Bristol this weekend. In his previous eight starts, he has one win, two top-five and three top-10 finishes.
