NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship Preview…The ten-race chase to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship begins today when the green flag drops to start the Sylvania 300 Sprint Cup Race at New Hampshire Speedway in Loudon, N.H.
Kyle Busch, of Joe Gibbs Racing , is the current point’s leader and -180 odds favorite to win the Sprint Cup points championship. Jimmie Johnson, of Hendrick Motorsports, and Carl Edwards of Roush-Fenway Racing, equally have the second best odds to win the championship at +300.
If oddsmakers are correct, Johnson could get a jump on Busch in the points standings if he wins today’s Sylvania 300. Oddsmakers at online sportsbook SBGglobal.com have installed Johnson at +350 odds to win the race. Busch is installed at +550, second best of the field.
All 12 drivers who qualified for the ‘Chase’, are only separated by 80-points in the standings. So this chase could come down to the final lap in the last race at Homestead in November.
