Kimi Raikkonen led home the third Ferrari one-two of the season, beating Felipe Massa by 4.7 seconds in the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa, but it was Fernando Alonso who hardened to 4 to 5 odds favourite for a third straight world drivers crown with online bookies at Bodog. By finishing third, Fernando Alonso cut fellow McLaren team-mate Lewis Hamilton's lead in the title race to two points with three races remaining, and he has now finished ahead of the Brit in five of the last six races.
Lewis Hamilton finished the race in fourth position, but was left angered after his team-mate's aggressive driving forced him off the track on the first lap. The Stevenage flyer said: “I don't know whether I was ahead, but there was enough room for us all to get round fair and square.
“I just feel for someone that's always complaining about people doing unfair manoeuvres, and everyone wanting to be fair and someone I look up to, and he has gone and swiped me and pushed me as wide as he could. I was just really lucky there was a run-off area so I could take that."
Lewis Hamilton drifted to 7 to 5 odds to win the championship in his rookie year. Bodog yesterday reported record turnover levels on the Grand Prix as we get set for a thrilling finale. Raikkonen was trimmed to a best-price 8-1 to take the championship, although he would not be guaranteed to finish top even if he wins all three races.
Bodog.com has posted Formula One betting odds to win the Formula 1 Drivers Championship 2007:
