Kyle Busch captured more than just the pole for tonight’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series marathon, the Coca Cola 600. Bush is also the favorite to win the race according to oddsmakers at online sports wagering website Sportsbook.com having Busch installed with 9-2 betting odds to win.
Busch captured the Pole position Thursday with a speed of 185.433 mph just ahead of second place qualifier Kasey Kahne, winner of last weeks All-Star race, at 185.300. Brian Vickers (185.249 mph), Greg Biffle (184.970) and veteran Mark Martin (184.470) round out the tip five qualifiers.
Busch’s winning the pole for the Coca Cola 600 is his second pole this season. The Sprint Cup points leader had the fastest car in the All-Star race last week until experiencing engine trouble.
If last weeks All-Star Race winner Kasey Kahne can drive as he did in that race, then maybe at 10/1 he will be a good bet. Another bet that should be a favorite among race fans is Mark Martin at 25/1.
“I love Martin at 25/1 odds,” said Point-Spreads.com racing handicapper Reno Gold. “I expect the old guy to pull off a win sometime this year and Sunday would be a good time to do it. Another good bet that I recommend is Carl Edwards at 6/1 odds.”
