When the green flag drops on the racing field for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Pocono 500 on Sunday, Kasey Kahne will be starting from the pole position in his No. 9 Dodge after qualifying the fastest at 170.219 mph. While oddsmakers like Kahne’s chances at 7/1, he isn’t the race favorite. Oddsmakers at online sports wagering giant Sportsbook.com have installed Jimmie Johnson in the Lowes Chevrolet as a 9/2 favorite. Carl Edwards is also an oddsmakers favorite at 5/1 odds. Edwards qualified the fastest ford and will be starting sixth.
Starting on the second row are Mark Martin (12-1 odds) and Regan Smith (100-1 odds) followed by Joe Nemechek (100-1) and Kahne in row three.

Rounding out the top-10 qualifiers are Dale Earnhardt Jr. (8-1 odds), A.J. Almendinger (100-1 odds) Scott Riggs (100-1 odds) and Kyle Busch (6-1 odds).
“I think Mark Martin’s experience might pay off in this race,” said NASCAR betting handicapper Reno Gold. “Martin at 12-1 is a great value. This is as tough of a track on the circuit and Martin knows how to drive it.”
