Aussie George Gregan will make history against FijiAussie scrum half legend George Gregan will make history when he runs out for his country against Fiji. George Gregan will equal Englishman Will Carling’s record for Test captaincy when he takes over from the injured Stirling Mortlock to lead Australia for the 59th time.  Bet on the Rugby Union World Cup at BetUs.com.

The Aussies have made three changes to the side for the Pool B clash. Mortlock has an injured shoulder ˆ an ailment he picked up in his side´s 32-20 win over Wales. Mortlock will be replaced by Adam Ashley Cooper. George Smith will miss the game, the openside flanker will make way for Phil Waugh.

Elsewhere, Mark Chisolm replaces Nathan Sharpe at lock, Berrick Barnes plays at fly-half after a decent debut against Wales last week. Barnes replaces Stephen Larkham, who misses the game after undergoing a knee operation. Meanwhile, Wales will be looking to run up a high score as they face Japan at the Millennium Stadium this week. The Welsh have been criticised for lacking attacking flair and will face more scrutiny if they fail to keep the scorers busy in Cardiff.

Wales will take heart from the second-half performance against Australia which they won 17-7. They showed glimpses of their 2005 Grand Slam form and will have to reproduce that style of play if they are to make any impact on the tournament.
