The United States soccer team will play their first Soccer Betting game of the year Saturday night as they take on Sweden. Saturday's game is the first of two within three weeks for the United States as the Americans play Mexico on February 6th. "Sweden gives us an opportunity to test our depth and see where some different players fit into the bigger picture," said United States coach Bob Bradley. Many of the U.S. players that are playing in Europe will not join the team until the game against Mexico.
One player that is expected to play for the U.S. on Saturday is Taylor Twellman. Twellman was offered a lot of money to join England's Preston North End but he is under contract with the MLS and the league would not let him go. "It's frustrating," he said. "Last year, I didn't have a permit. Now, I have a permit and there's a market for myself if I can continue to keep that permit." Twellman has scored 91 career goals, fifth all-time in MLS history. He has led the Revolution to four MLS Cup finals.

"It's pretty cool that Preston's interested and wants me that bad," Twellman said. "If a team wants you that bad and offers an offer that high, then I think the Revolution needs to do me right. I hope they do."
U.S. coach Bob Bradley sympathizes with Twellman. "It's important for players to find the right clubs," he said. "We certainly count on the idea that guys are moving on, improving, finding better levels, finding better teams and growing as players. That helps us."
