Chelsea will try and avoiding stumbling at Sunderland on Saturday and put pressure on Arsenal and Manchester United at the top of the standings.  It may not be an easy game for Chelsea considering Sunderland is fighting to avoid relegation. History is on the side of Chelsea though as they have won the last six matches against Sunderland although the last two road contests were very close 2-1 wins.

Chelsea is a one goal favorite with a total of 2.5 under -130 at SBG Global.  The three-way line has Chelsea -250, Sunderland +600 and the Draw +280.

Sunderland needs to take any points that can at home considering they have just three points on the road all season. West Ham, Manchester City and Middlesbrough still will come to Wearside in addition to a final game against Arsenal.  Chelsea is coming off an impressive 6-1 win against Derby and will look to continue their success at Sunderland.  It may not be easy considering Sunderland is playing better at home. "We do not like losing goals and we have tightened up fairly well, especially at home. The clean sheets have been coming at home and hopefully we can keep that going - and if we do it is a great basis for us going on to win games, Sunderland manager Roy Keane said, "Our home form has been great but it looks as though we will need to keep that going to make sure we are in the league." 

A key for Sunderland has been the play of goalkeeper Craig Gordon who has kept four clean sheets in 13 games. "Sometimes you go through a spell where two or three will happen at the same time but you know that it's just around the corner. You know you do not become a bad goalkeeper overnight, you just pick yourself up and get on with it. "You go again the next week and try to make it better. That's the same no matter what happens.

Even though I was left out of the team for a short spell in the middle of the season, I just had to work hard, make sure I got back in the team and do the things I was good at."
