David Beckham will make his 100th appearance for England in an exhibition soccer match against France. This much anticipated match will take place at Stade de France, in Paris. Oddsmakers at Sportsbetting.com have France as 2.25 favorites over England who is listed at 2.80. The over/under is listed at 2 ½. Get your bet in at Sportsbetting.com where players play!

Beckham will play at least part of the game, coach Fabio Capello told reporters in Paris today. Beckham, now with the Los Angeles Galaxy, last appeared for England as a substitute in a 3-2 loss to Croatia on Nov. 21. Capello, in his first match as coach, left Beckham out of England’s match against Switzerland because he hadn’t played competitive soccer since the end of the MLS season. Capello coached Beckham at Real Madrid and all of England thought for sure he’d be on the team.

Rio Ferdinand will lead the rest of his teammates into Paris as captain. Capello likes to rotate the Captain to install pride and honor into his players. England has a strong lineup right now with players that are doing a lot of scoring for their respected clubs most notably Peter Crouch, Wayne Rooney, Michael Owen, Steven Gerrard, Owen Hargreaves, Frank Lampard and Joel Cole. Their defense is solid with Rio Ferdinand, Ashley Cole, Wes Brown and John Terry in the game. David James will be starting goalie. England is 6-3-1 SU in their last ten games since June 1, 2007. They’ve outscored their opponents 29-9 during these ten.

France has ten Premier League players in the squad, with four from Arsenal, three from Chelsea, two from Manchester United and one from Portsmouth. Gael Clichy (ARS), Patrice Evra (MAN), William Gallas (ARS), Bakary Sagna (ARS), Claude Makelele (CHE), Nicolas Anelka (CHE) and Louis Saha (MAN) should make for a great match. Not to mention Thierry Henry. France is 6-2-2 in their last ten and they've outscored their opponents 22-5.

The last match between France and England was during the 2004 European Championship finals group match, at France Estadio da Luz, Lisbon on June 13, 2004. Zinadine Zadane scored for France in the 90th minute and Frank Lampard scored for England. France won 2-1 in a penalty shootout. In the shootout Beckham also missed one as well as three other players missed two penalties while playing for England.
