Spain trumped Russia 4-1 then won a close game against Sweden 2-1. The trio of David Villa, Fernando Torres and Cesc Fábregas have been money in the bank for Spain as they’ve combined for all six goals. Now as they head into a game that is almost meaningless, they’ll give their subs a chance to prove themselves. “With first place guaranteed my initial thought is to change almost everyone and give some of the other players a chance to show they are ready,” said Coach Luis Aragones. David Villa and Fernando Torres are expected to be rested. Last minute sub, Cesc Fabregas who did well in their last two matches, will likely get a chance to start at midfield alongside Xabi Alonso and Ruben de la Red.  There has also been some talk about injuries to Santi Cazorla and Carles Puyol, who are both complaining about joint stiffness.  Dani Guiza, who topped the Primera Liga scoring charts with 27 goals last season, is favourite to lead the attack alongside Sergio Garcia. Spain could face either of the 2006 World Cup finalists, Italy and France, or Romania, from Group C on Sunday in Vienna.

Greece have slumped into a funk after defeats to, Sweden 0-2 and Russia 0-1, in their opening two games. Now to save face Greece wants to leave the tournament with at least one good performance and a goal. "Our aim is to perform well and try to get three points," said Midfielder Angelos Basinas "That will make us feel good about ourselves and please the fans who came all the way to Austria to support us."Greek coach Otto Rehhagel has said that he will field several second string players in the match, although his changes have been forced because of injury. Defenders Giourkas Seitaridis and Vassilis Torosidis are out, striker Fanis Gekas has a fractured cheekbone and midfielder Giorgios Karagounis is doubtful. Alexandros Tziolis, Loukas Vintra, Nikos Spyropoulos and striker Dimitris Salpigidis are the favourites to step in.  This match will be the end of International play for Antonis Nikopolidis and Paraskevas Antzas's. Point-Spreads.com Spain vs Greece: UEFA EURO 2008 Prediction – Spain -155

The Bottom Line: The Spaniards are still chaulked full of talent with or without their big three on the pitch. Greece plays the most boring football I’ve ever seen, no goals says it all, and for them to start playing now is unacceptable.
