USA vs Ghana 2010 World Cup Predictions Round of 16 OddsUSA drew 1-1 with England in their opener; they drew 2-2 to Slovenia and finished with a 1-0 win over Algeria to finish first in Group C. They scored four and gave up three goals. USA coach Bob Bradley has enjoyed the luxury of being able to shuffle players around to improve on their attack. The Stars and Stripes squad was thought to have been left exposed by the absence of livewire striker Charlie Davies, but Coach Bradley is looking like a genius since adding Real Salt Lake's Robbie Findley, Mexico-based ace Herculez Gomez and Major League Soccer's top scorer Edson Buddle. They have all figured – and contributed – in the Americans' inspirational run to the Round of 16.

"We have plenty of options up front and we've been using them according to the circumstances we find ourselves facing," Jozy Altidore, the only striker to have started all three of USA's games, said. "We have a lot of guys who can come off the bench and change the pace of the game, and that says a lot about how deep our squad is."

Ghana beat Serbia 1-0 in the opening match, drew 1-1 with Australia and lost 0-1 to Germany in their final to finish second in Group D. They scored two and gave up three goals. Ghana is the only team left in the World Cup representing Africa. Ghana's inspirational striker Asamoah Gyan – scorer of both their goals from the penalty spot in the group phase – said that they would not be simply satisifed with a place in the last 16 and were out for victory over the United States on Sunday. A win there would see them play either Uruguay or South Korea in the quarter-finals and the chance of becoming the first African country to reach the semi-finals. "The Americans are a very good team; they expend a lot of energy and are strong physically. But we too have good players; it is for that that we have so much self-confidence.”

"To qualify is really very important for us and for Africa," said Coach Milovan Rajevac. "I am really very emotional and moved. I hope we can benefit from the support of all of the South Africa people and the continent of Africa. It's not really the time to rejoice over qualifying because of the match against the USA. We don't have much time."
