Kansas City at Houston – Saturday, 8:30 pm Eastern
The Kansas City Wizards and Houston Dynamo will play in the Western Conference Championship on Saturday with the winner moving on to the MLS Cup to take on the New England Revolution. Kansas City and Houston have played twice this season with Houston winning one match while the other match was a draw. "You look back at the games we played earlier this year, and I don't think there wasn't a team that dominated that series," Houston defender Wayne Barrett said. "It's going to be a competitive match (and) we're certainly glad to have that game at home." SBG Global reports that early Soccer betting has the public taking Wizards on the Road.

A great crowd is expected at Robertson Stadium on Saturday. It is expected that the crowd will be more than the capacity of 30,000. The Dynamo will be looking to score against a Kansas City defense that has looked good in recent games. They shutout FC Dallas in the regular season finale and then posted back to back shutouts over Chivas USA in the Western Conference semifinals. "Certainly during the year we were a much more attractive team in terms of trying to keep the ball and create more chances," Kansas City midfielder Kerry Zavagnin said. "But in the playoffs it's all about winning, and no one in this locker room cares how we do it. You can say we were lucky, but at the same time we did our job, and that's the objective."

Kansas City made it into the playoffs as the eighth seed but was moved to the Western Conference to set up the playoff brackets. It is not unheard of for an 8th seed to win the title. Just two years ago the Los Angeles Galaxy were the 8th seed and won the MLS Cup. "I've never really felt the MLS playoffs necessarily rewarded the team that's been successful throughout the year. It's anybody's game. And for us, that's great. That's perfect." said Kansas City goalkeeper Kevin Hartman.
The teams played to a 1-1 draw back in September at Robertson Stadium. Houston won earlier in the year at Kansas City by a score of 1-0.
