Arsenal boss Wenger predicts England win

Wenger predicts England winArsenal boss Arsene Wenger is backing England to qualify for Euro 2008 with victory over Croatia. Wenger also believes that England manager Steve McClaren will achieve that success with a five-man midfield.

Bodog quote an England victory at 10/19. Wenger´s club Arsenal are 7s to win the FA Cup with Bodog.

Michael Owen and Wayne Rooney miss the game through injury. That means Peter Crouch is the squad's only front man and Wenger reckons the Liverpool striker should be supported by duo Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard, alongside Gareth Barry playing in the holding role.

"McClaren will change his formation," said Wenger. "And it's an important decision because I believe that's the best way to be tight defensively without losing too much of his potential going forward. Experience has an advantage. I personally believe he will go with Gerrard, with Lampard, and Barry and (David) Beckham."

Chelsea´s Joe Cole is likely to play on the left of midfield.

Wenger added: "I know England have most often used 4-4-2 but I feel there could be an innovation on Wednesday. I personally think it will be 2-0."

Could the Frenchman be right?
