No way Jose?Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has refused to comment on reports linking him with the England manager's position. Previous boss Steve McLaren was recently relieved of his duties after failing to get England to Euro 2008 that takes place in Austria and Switzerland next summer.

England can´t make that tournament but are installed as 11/1 to win the 2010 World Cup.

Mourinho has been reported to comment: "Tell the FA to come and get me," in one national newspaper this morning.

The Portuguese man spoke to a television crew outside his home on Wednesday evening where he said: "I know nothing, I know nothing about it. The only thing I know is I should be on my sofa watching the game and you knock on my door. I have nothing to say."

The reporter asked Mourinho if he wanted the England job and he replied: "I cannot answer you. My job at the moment is to take care of my family, things in Portugal, enjoy my life - not 100% because no football - but enjoying my life.

"There are lots of good managers around the world. The only thing I say it's a pity England is not in Euro 2008 but for sure they will be back for the World Cup in South Africa, they have to choose the right person for that."

The 44-year-old would be a highly popular choice for England fans.
