Kolo Toure and Thierry Henry helped to establish 10 man Arsenal's spot in fourth place in the EPL as they defeated Blackburn 2-0 at Ewood Park last week. Meanwhile Manchester United enjoyed their third win in as many weeks over Aston Villa with a comfortable 3-1 victory at Old Trafford. Bet on soccer at Bodog.com and receive an instant cash bonus! Arsenal’s game had already started out lively when Gilberto was sent off after just 13 minutes by referee Chris Foy when the Gunners midfielder reacted angrily to a bad tackle from Rovers' Robbie Savage. The dismissal looked more than a little harsh, but undisturbed, Arsene Wenger's side went on to take the lead after 37 minutes. Lucas Neill fouled Robin van Persie and Thierry Henry's chip into the box was met with the full force of the Toure's head. His header went in on Brad Friedel's right hand post while the American stopper watched rooted to his spot. Van Persie will not be able to play this weekend since he was injured during practice this week which is a serious loss for Arsenal. But he’s most likely to be substituted by Emmanuel Adebayor, as the Togo striker is set to get his first start since Boxing Day. Adebayor scored the winning goal when Arsenal met United at Old Trafford in September. Will he strike again? Bet on Arsenal v Manchester United at Bodog.com for immediate cash bonuses! The Red Devils' defense had been hoping the Togolese striker would miss this game and will be hoping to contain him more effectively than they did in the reverse fixture. United’s Michael Carrick celebrated his first goal for Sir Alex’s side. The £18million buy from Tottenham has taken time to open his account but the midfielder is certainly not fazed by the top league. Instead, Manchester’s defender Gabriel Heinze has denied reports he is on his way out of the club in the January transfer window. The Argentine international has struggled to regain his place in the side with Patrice Evra showing off at left back and Coach Ferguson expressing an interest in youngster Gareth Bale. Despite interest from Italian giants AC Milan, Heinze, who cost nearly £7million three years ago, is due to see out his contract until the end of the season. With too much to lose, both teams will avoid a draw by simply trying to beat the other side. So here’s a crazy proposal, Arsenal +150 and United +170, a draw would kill you but the lack of one will pay. Now if you think you have a winner pick that and the draw, conservative but worth it just as well. Good Luck! |
