This will be the 42nd international football tournament for the Americas. Copa América 2007 is organized by CONMEBOL, South America's football governing body.
The USA squad is currently ranked 16th in FIFA World Rankings and listed at 25 to 1 odds to win the tournament. The United States is playing in their third Copa América and will be in Group C along with Argentina for their first round of action.
