David Beckham won't play in another match for Real Madrid after announcing his departure at the end of the season.  Beckham is heading for the Los Angeles Galaxy of the MLS as per Coach Fabio Capello.  Real Madrid v Real Zaragoza kicks off this Sunday at 3:00 PM EST in their Santiago Bernabéu stadium.  Real Madrid's poor record in La Coruña continued last weekend when they lost 2-0 to Deportivo.

Real Zaragoza on the other hand dealt first place Sevilla FC a 1-2 loss and seems primed up to hit the road and offer the Merengues a run for their money in search of improving on the Liga’s chart. A win will make it 18 games played with 10 wins, which would tie with Real Madrid at the same amount of games played and won but with 1 point difference in favor of Zaragoza to snatch 4th place from Madrid.

Real Madrid at -200 comes into this game as the clear favorite with a draw at +250.  The Maños, Zaragoz are listed at +425 on WagerWeb.com.

Real Madrid has been struggling lately and have lost three of their last four matches, including a humiliating 3-0 home defeat to Recreativo Huelva just before the winter break.

The Depor setback brought about an emergency meeting on Monday involving the Real Madrid hierarchy and coaching staff, where it was decided changes were to be made.  Coach Fabio Capello said ahead of the cup game with Real Betis: "We have lost our spirit and enthusiasm. This is our main failure.”

Michel Salgado and Sergio Ramos are both facing bans for this weekend's tough home match with Real Zaragoza, while injuries will keep out new boy Marcelo, Cicinho and playmaker Guti.

Real Zaragoza was one of the surprise packages in the Primera Liga before the winter break. Christmas came at the right time for Victor Fernandez's tired side offering some badly needed rest.  They have won just one of their previous five games but finished 2006 in fifth place, one point behind fourth placed Atletico Madrid.

Initially I was intrigued by the value in the money lines for both the +250 draw and Zaragoza at +425 but something tells me that Real Madrid will regroup and pull this one out, so I am taking Real Madrid -200.

Real Madrid’s last several games have averaged 2.4 scores per game while Zaragoza’s last five matches have averaged 1.8 goals making it a 2.1 average.  This appears to give the UNDER a clear advantage to cash, however I have a feeling that the total will end up 3:1 so I love the OVER 2.5 goals at -111.
