Los Rojillos de Osasuna v Atletico Madrid Preview

Los Rojillos de Osasuna v Atletico Madrid PreviewLos Rojillos de Osasuna (little red ones) leave their home in Pamplona to visit Spain’s Capital Madrid, in a game at Vicente Calderon Stadium against 5th place Atletico de Madrid with a 2pm EST kick off this Saturday.

WagerWeb.com has Atletico as a -125 favorite while the road dog Osasuna has a +300 payout. The Draw is also tempting by paying out +225. The total of under 2½ -143 is my bet here, Atletico is slipping lately and this game will be tight, they cannot afford a loss. If you trust in the over with added luck, you will get back +115.

8th on La Liga’s chart, Club Atletico Osasuna  has been on a sweep lately, rising on the chart by gaining points and games over their rivals. Of their last 5 games they have lost one with the remainder as wins over teams they should be able to and have beaten. They defeated 15th place Mallorca 3-0 and then went on the road for a win over 11th spot Villareal. Bet on Soccer at WagerWeb.com and receive a 30% cash bonus!

They hosted 17th position Levante to a 2-1 loss and finally dropped one on the road to 19th place Real Sociedad in a close 1-2 loss. The following week they seemed to have turned all their attention on Real Betis, who they spanked 5-1 last Sunday, January 14th.

Atletico on the other hand has had an incosistent run of late, after losing to 10th place Espanyol Barcelona 1-2, they barely beat 9th place Getafe 1-0 at home. In Barcelona they drew at one goal to then draw at nil against 20th spot Gimnastic de Tarrago the following week. Again at home, where they should be winning, they are losing points. Back on the road last week they upset Celta Vigo 3-0.

Although Atletico is the favorite, my opinion stays with Osasuna. In soccer as in many sports, the moment is absolutely important. Osasuna advantages Atletico in the fact that they have been consistent on and off the road. Atletico has been shaky at home and if the trend holds, Osasuna should win.

The +300 with a double down on a +225 draw  sounds great to me. All we need is to have Atletico lose and not draw, you’ll still make money. On the total, I have to admit I would pay to watch it go under, I lay 143, just like in baseball.
