Kazakhastan takes on Armenia in the Group A of the UEFA European Championship qualifier. Manager Arno Pijpers has stated that Kazakhastan defender Sergey Kozulin could make his competitive debut home qualifiers against Armenia. From 25 friendly and competitive international matches to date against UEFA member associations, Kazakhstan's only victory has been a penalty shootout defeat of Armenia in an invitational tournament held in Cyprus in February 2004.
