2010 French Open Odds Men's: The 2010 French Open is set to get underway on Sunday, May 23rd at the legendary Roland Garros clay courts in Paris, France. 2010 French Open Odds Men's at online bookmaker SPORTSBETTING.com have Spaniard Rafael Nadal listed as a -300 moneyline favorite to win the event. The ATP's top-ranked player, Roger Federer, who won his first French Open last year, is listed at +200 moneyline odds to defend his title.

Rafael Nadal, who won four consecutive titles at Roland Garros from 2005 to 2008, fell to Robin Soderling in the fourth2010 French Open Odds Men's round last year 2-6, 7-6 (2), 4-6, 6-7 (2). The defeat was largely attributed to Nadal's balky knees, which he rested until the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 Canada in August. His time off and middling results, at least by his standards, caused him to lose his No. 1 ranking. He is presently No. 2 in the ATP world rankings, trailing Federer by 3150 points.

The 23 year old Mallorca native has played a full schedule this year, including the defense of his 2009 Australian Open title in January. Nadal was unable to capture a second crown in Melbourne, losing to Andy Murray in the quarterfinals, but he has won three singles titles this season. Nadal, who is 31-4 in 2010, won the ATP World Tour Masters 1000's in Monte Carlo, Rome, and Madrid, giving him a three straight tournament wins heading into the French Open. The latest coming at the clay courts in his native Spain, where Nadal beat Roger Federer 6-4, 7-6 (5) in the final.

Roger Federer, who has either won or participated in 18 of the last 19 Grand Slam finals, captured his first trophy at Roland Garros last year with a straight sets win over Soderling in the final. The Swiss native is 19-6 this year with one singles title, which happened to be his fourth Australian Open crown and record breaking 16th major.

Federer last played at Madrid earlier this month where, as mentioned, he succumed to Nadal in the championship match.

Nadal will open play against Frenchman Gianni Mina while Federer meets Australian Peter Luczak in Sunday's first round of action.
