French Open Betting Odds: Online bookmaker BetUS.com's Rafael Nadal vs Lleyton Hewitt French Open Betting Odds have defending Roland Garros champion Rafael Nadal listed as a huge -6500 money line favorite in tomorrow morning's match.
Rafael Nadal continued his French Open dominance earlier this week, beating Brazilian Marcos Daniel 7-5, 6-4, 6-3 in the first round and overcoming Russian Teimuraz Gabashvili in the second 6-1, 6-4, 6-2. The two wins were Nadal's 28th and 29th consecutive French Open wins, giving him the Roland Garros record that used to belong to Bjorn Borg.
Nadal, the ATP number one ranked player, won the year's first Grand Slam event, the Australian Open back in January. The 22 year old Spaniard beat his arch rival, Roger Federer, in the finale. Nadal, however, fell to the Swede 4-6, 4-6 at the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 in Madrid, Spain earlier this month. He is now 13-7 against Federer in head-to-head play.
Nadal, who is 41-4 this year, took the number one ranking from Federer in August of 2008. He is not likely to give any ground to Roger at the French Open considering he is a perfect 4-0 at the Roland Garros.
Facing Nadal is tomorrow's third round of play is former number one player Lleyton Hewitt. Hewitt, who is currently ranked 48th in the world, had a difficult first round match against Croatian Ivo Karlovic but eventually prevailed 6-3, 6-7, 6-7, 7-6, 6-4. The Australian then made quick work of Andrey Goluben in the second round, winning 6-4, 6-3, 6-1.
Hewitt, who has two Grand Slam wins on his resume, has never made it out of the fourth round at the French Open.
Nadal and Hewitt are set to play at 5:00am ET on Friday, May 29th on the Philippe Chatrier Court .
