French Open 2010: Rafael Nadal vs Lleyton Hewitt Betting Odds: French Open favorite Rafael Nadal will meet Australian Lleyton Hewitt tomorrow morning in the third round of action at Roland Garros. The match between the two players is scheduled to get underway at approximately 6:30am ET on Court Philippe Chatrier. French Open 2010 Betting Odds at SPORTSBETTING.com have Nadal listed as a huge -8000 moneyline favorite.
Twenty-nine year old Lleyton Hewitt followed up his straight sets win over France's Jeremy Chardy in the first round with a
five set victory against Uzbekistan's Denis Istomin in the second. Hewitt was anything but polished in his meeting with Istomin as he had 38 unforced errors and landed just 48 percent of his first serves in play. The Aussie did, however, hit 46 winners in the match.
Hewitt, who has won two majors in his career (U.S. Open, Wimbledon), is competing in his 11th French Open. The Adelaide native has advanced to the fourth round six times in his previous 10 trips to Roland Garros. He was eliminated in straight sets 1-6, 3-6, 1-6 by Nadal in the third round last year.
Rafael Nadal cruised through his second round match, beating Argentina's Horacio Zeballos 6-2, 6-2, 6-3. Nadal hit on 80 percent of his first serves and he committed just 12 unforced errors to Zeballos' 23. The ATP's number two ranked player also won 51 percent of his receiving points and 60 percent of his break point conversions.
Nadal, who is playing in his sixth French Open, is vying for his fifth championship at the event and seventh career Grand Slam title. He has never been defeated in a third round match at Roland Garros.
