French Open 2009: Online bookmaker BetUS.com's Paul Henri Mathieu vs Roger Federer French Open 2009 Betting Odds have Federer listed as a heavy -3000 money line favorite in tomorrow's third round match. Roger Federer will hit the court tomorrow morning to face Frenchman Paul Henri Mathieu. Federer has made the finals at the last three French Opens but the Roland Garros remains the lone Grand Slam title to elude him. The 27 year old Federer, currently ranked No. 2 in the world, has won 13 Grand Slam titles. The native of Switzerland looked like his usual self in the first round of play, easily dispatching Alberto Martin 6-3, 6-3, 6-2; however, he ran into problems in the second round of action on Thursday morning. Federer struggled to find a rhythm in his first three sets against Jose Acasuso, but he found a way to get a 7-6, 5-7, 7-6, 6-2 match win. Federer, who is competing in his 11th French Open, won the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 in Madrid, Spain earlier this month, beating rival Rafael Nadal to get his first singles title this season. Roger is 26-6 on the year; he has won 58 singles title in his career. Paul Henri Mathieu, who made it to the fourth round of the French Open last year, has breezed through his first two opponents in this year's tournament. Mathieu dispatched fellow Frenchman Laurent Recouderc 6-4, 6-4, 6-1 in the first round and disposed of Spaniard Pablo Andujar with similar ease in the second round, getting a 6-2, 6-3, 6-4 match win. Mathieu is 13-13 in singles play this season; he has four career singles titles. He is presently ranked 35th in the world, but has been as high as 12th.
