French Open 2010: Rafael Nadal vs Nicolas Almagro Betting Odds: Rafael Nadal will attempt to advance to the semifinals at Roland Garros for the fifth time in six trips to the complex when he takes on fellow Spaniard Nicolas Almagro in tomorrow morning's quarterfinal match. Rafael Nadal had a little more trouble with his fourth round opponent than he did his previous three, but he prevailed over 
Brazil's Thomaz Bellucci in straight sets nonetheless. Nadal won the match 6-2, 7-5, 6-4 after committing 13 fewer errors than Bellucci while hitting nine more winners. The 30 games were then most that the Spaniard has played in the 2010 French Open, but that was more of a testament to Bellucci's skill set than Nadal slipping in performance.
Rafa, who won eight of his 11 break point conversions against Bellucci, has faced Almagro six times in his career. Nadal defeated his fellow countryman on every occasion, including the semifinals at Madrid last month, where he scored a 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 victory. Nadal and Almagro also met in the quarterfinals at Roland Garrosin 2008 with the former getting an easy 6-1, 6-1, 6-1 match win.
The 24 year old Almagro, who enters tomorrow's showdown with Nadal ranked 21st in ATP Men's Singles, upset another Spaniard, Frenando Verdasco, to advance to the quarterfinals at the French Open for the second time in seven appreances at the event. Almagro won the match with Verdasco in four sets 6-1, 4-6, 6-1, 6-4. The Murcia native had six aces and he also hit 40 winners to Verdasco's 22.
Almagro, who reached the foruth round at thisyear's Australian Open, has never made it past the quartefinals at a Grand Slam (22 majors).
