French Open 2009: Online bookmaker BetUS.com's Roger Federer vs Gael Monfils French Open 2009 Betting Odds has the world's second ranked player listed as a -400 moneyline favorite in tomorrow's quarterfinal match at Roland Garros. Roger Federer survived another close French Open match, but finally prevailed over Tommy Haas in five sets 6-2, 6-7, 5-7, 6-4, 6-0. Federer had 31 unforced errors, nevertheless he stayed alive due to his superior serving and his ability to hit winners. The Swede, who has won 13 Grand Slams, had 16 aces and 60 winners in the match. Federer will now shoot for his first French Open title without having to worry about Rafael Nadal (Nadal has beaten Federer in the finals the last three years). Federer indicated that not facing Nadal had crossed his mind, but he was more concerned with taking care of the business in front of him. "In a situation like this, you don't really think about whoever is out of the draw or not," Federer said. "You just try to come through yourself, and it's hard enough, you know, to stay positive when you're down two sets to love and a break point. Of course, my dream scenario is to beat Rafa here in the finals, but I gotta concentrate on my part of the draw." Frenchman Gael Monfils, the world's 10th ranked player, will be Federer's opponent in tomorrow's quarterfinal. Monfils beat Andy Roddick yesterday in straight sets 6-4, 6-2, 6-3. The 22 year old had 17 aces in the match and 45 winners to Roddick's 18. Monfils, who made the semi-finals at Roland Garros last year, is now 19-8 in singles matches this year.
