2009 Wimbledon Odds: Ukrainian native Nikolay Davydenko will be making his eighth appearance at Wimbledon tomorrow morning. Davydenko will be facing 19 year old Englishman Daniel Evans. Online bookmaker Bodog.com has the Russian listed as a -1200 moneyline favorite in their Nikolay Davydenko vs Daniel Evans 2009 Wimbledon Odds. Nikolay Davydenko , who is currently the ATP's 11th ranked men's singles player, will be looking to get out of the first round at Wimbledon for just the third time in his career when he faces Evans tomorrow. The 28 year old escaped first round elimination in 2005 (second round) and in 2007 (fourth round). Davydenko is excellent on clay as evidenced by his record on the surface this season (made it to the semifinals at Barcelona and Estoril and the quarterfinals at Monte Carlo and Roland Garros), but he has been eliminated in the second round of the two hard court tournaments he has played in this year. Davydenko has yet to play on a grass court this season. Despite his deficiencies on grass, Nikolay should have a decisive advantage over Evans, who will be playing in just the second ATP match of his career. Evans, who hails from the United Kingdom, is 0-1 in his professional career. He last played on June 14th at Eastbourne when he lost to Canadian Frank Dancevic in straight sets 3-6, 1-6. Tomorrow's match between Davydenko and Evans is scheduled to get underway at approximately 6:00am Central Daylight Time.
