Juan Martin Del Potro made a strong start as he dismissed Italy’s Flavio Cipolla 6-1, 6-4 6-3. The Argentine struck 31 winners to 14 unforced errors and won 89 per cent of points on his first serve to sweep to victory in one hour and 39 minutes. The 22-year-old del Potro, who was absent for most of 2010 with a wrist injury, has been working his way back up the South African Airways 2011 ATP Rankings, helped by winning titles at Delray Beach and Estoril. The Tandil native will look to advance past the second round at Wimbledon for the first time in four visits. "[It's] really nice [to be back at Wimbledon," said del Potro. "I missed all the tournaments [last year]. This one is one of the best in the world. I came here many days before for to be ready for this tournament, trying to learn on grass.
