2009 Wimbledon Odds: Venus Williams, who has not been eliminated in the second round at Wimbledon since 2004, will face Kateryna Bondarenko in tomorrow morning's All England Lawn Tennis Championships second round action. Williams is currently listed as a -2500 moneyline favorite in online bookmaker Bodog.com's 2009 Wimbledon Odds: Venus Williams vs Kateryna Bondarenko. Venus Williams made quick work of her first round opponent on Tuesday morning, beating Stefanie Voegele in straight sets 6-3, 6-2. The 29 year old California native scored eight aces and 29 winners while converting on 82 percent of her first serve opportunities. Williams, who has won the last two Wimbledon titles and three of the last four, was asked how she felt about returning to a place she has had so much success. "I really enjoyed being out there," Williams said. "You know, it's a special moment when you walk back as defending champion on that court, throw those first balls up for that first point. It's a really great feeling." Facing Williams tomorrow is Ukranian born Kateryna Bondarenko. Bondarenko, who is playing in her fifth Wimbledon, beat Latvian competitor Anastasija Sevastova 6-3, 7-6 on Tuesday. The 22 year old had 21 unforced errors to 28 by Sevastova and she hit 17 winners. Bondarenko, who is now 11-12 in match play this year, has never been past the second round at Wimbledon, but she has been to the third round in the last two majors (Australian in January and Roland Garros last month). Williams and Bondarenko are scheduled to play at 7:00am CDT on Court 1.
