Not only is the Scottish born Murray attempting to restore some of the nation's pride, he is also working to become the first Brit to win at Wimbledon since Fred Perry took home the trophy in 1936.

Murray had 19 fewer unforced errors and four more winners in the match than did Querrey. The Dunblane native also won 63 percent of the time on his second serve compared to 38 percent for Querrey.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga will be aiming for his third career semifinals appearance at a Grand Slam when he takes on Murray in the morning. The French born player, who currently ranks 10th on the ATP's men's singles chart, reached the quarterfinals at Wimbledon for the first time ever by beating fellow Frenchman Julien Benneteau 6-1, 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 yesterday. Tsonga had 14 aces and 39 winners in the victory.

Tsonga and Murray last played at the Rogers Cup in Toronto in 2009; Murray won the semifinals match 6-4, 7-6. The two players have only played each other on a hard surface.
