Federer stunned in 2010 Wimbledon Quarterfinal by Berdych

Federer stunned in 2010 Wimbledon Quarterfinal by Berdych: Six-time Wimbledon champion and the favorite to win this year's tournament, Roger Federer, has fallen in the quarterfinals to Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic. Federer, who was listed at +120 moneyline odds at BetUS.com to win his seventh Wimbledon title, lost the match in four sets 4-6, 6-3, 1-6, 4-6. Berdych has now reached the semifinals in the last two Grand Slams after beating Russian Mikhail Youzhny in the quarterfinals at the French Open last month.

He appeared to return to form, though, in dispatching Arnaud Clement and Jurgen Melzer in straight sets in the third and fourth rounds.

Federer, who lost his No. 1 ranking after Rafael Nadal's victory at Roland Garros, has now fallen in the quarterfinals of the last two Grand Slam events. It is only natural to question if his game might be slipping some, but he did capture the Australian Open in January. Federer also has a 31-9 record on the year and plenty of time to get his mind right before the U.S. Open in August. 

As for Berdych, he will go on to face Novak Djokovic, who defeated Yen-Hsun LU in straight sets this morning, in Friday's semifinal. 

Today's upset marks the second stunning ouster of the tournament as the fifth seeded Andy Roddick lost to the unseeded and 83rd ranked LU in the fourth round over the weekend.
