Hot favourites Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal should enjoy straightforward progress as they each take on Tommy Robredo and Carlos Moya respectively, but the other two quarter finals feature much tighter matches.
On Tuesday we fancy Russian underdog Nikolay Davydenko at even money to see off favourite Guillermo Canas.
Their only meeting on clay back in 2004 saw the Russian lose to the Argentine but Davydenko is a far improved player these days and his never-say-die on court attitude makes him a man to genuinely fear.
The 26 year old saw off the impressive David Nalbandian without too much fuss in the fourth round and is clearly coming nicely into form.
On Wednesday there´s another Russian in action the other quarter final as Igor Andreev takes on Serbian Novak Djokovic. The Serbian won their only previous meeting on clay in Estoril this year and looks to have too many guns for his opponent.
20 year old Djokovic has been the rising star of tennis over the past year moving from a world ranking of 63 at Roland Garros in 2006 to fifth this year. He won the much coveted Miami masters earlier this season and is destined for great things. BetUS.com has posted French Open betting odds on Djokovic vs. Andreev: Novak Djokovic: -175 Igor Andreev: +135
