The North Carolina Tar Heels, who have not played since Tuesday night, will host ACC rival Virginia today at the Dean E. Smith Center in Chapel Hill. Unfortunately for Cavaliers fans, Virginia has struggled almost as much as North Carolina has succeeded. Their 1-6 ACC record and 7-11 overall mark have them ranked 11th in the 12 team conference. Virginia has reached has reached new levels of ineptitude in their last five outings, posting an average of just 65 points per game while giving up 79.8.

The Cavaliers extended their current losing streak to six games on Wednesday night when they lost 70-80 against Boston College at home. They shot an abysmal 33 percent from the field against the Eagles, but compounded that struggle by hitting just one of their 14 three point attempts. The lone bright spot in the loss was guard Sylven Landesberg's 32 points (13-of-23 from the field, 6-of-6 free throws).
