The Xavier Musketeers will attempt to rebound from a loss at Duquesne on Saturday night when they take on the Dayton Flyers this evening. Their work will be cut out for them as the Flyers are undefeated at home this season. The Atlantic 10 showdown tips off at 7:00pm ET at the University of Dayton Arena in Dayton, Ohio and will be broadcast on ESPN2.

The Musketeers snapped an 11 game win streak Saturday night against the Dukes of Duquesne in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Xavier had trouble controlling the Dukes hot hand as they connected on 53 percent of their field goal attempts and 46.7 percent of their three pointers. Bill Clark did most of the damage to the Musketeers defense, scoring 18 points on 4-of-4 shooting from beyond the arc.
Xavier also had plenty of self-inflicted damage in the loss, missing 12-of-26 shots from the free throw line.
In spite of the lapse this past weekend, Sean Miller's team is still in first place in the Atlantic 10 at 8-1 in conference action and 20-3 overall. However, St. Joseph's and Dayton are both close behind at 7-1 and 7-2 respectively.
The fourteenth ranked Musketeers are 6-1 on the road this year where they average 77.9 points per game and allow 66.7 to host teams.
Dayton, like Xavier, snapped a winning streak of their own over the weekend when they fell 66-79 to 8-14 Charlotte. The 49ers forced 16 turnovers and blocked eight Flyer shots in handing Dayton their third road loss of the year. The Flyers also resembled the Musketeers in their effort from the charity stripe, hitting just 9-of-20 in the disappointing defeat.
The Flyers, at 21-3, are now in third place in the Atlantic 10 after Sunday's result, but could move into first place with a win this evening and a St. Joseph's loss on Thursday. They are 14-0 at home this season and have held opponents to just 53.4 points per game at the University of Dayton Arena.
