The UCLA Bruins are in Tempe tonight for a showdown with PAC 10 rival Arizona State. The Sun Devils have won two games in a row and are ranked 18th in the nation in the AP Poll. Eleventh ranked UCLA is the front runner in the PAC 10 with a 19-4 overall record and an 8-2 conference mark. They enter tonight's contest having won four straight games, all of them in Los Angeles. The Bruins averaged 85.75 points per game and won by an average of 22.75 points in dispatching California, Stanford, USC, and Notre Dame.
UCLA last played on February 7th when they took out the Fighting Irish 89-63. Head Coach Ben Howland saw hit squad connect on 56.7 percent of their field goal attempts and 46.7 percent of their three point shots. Point guard Darren Collison led the barrage, scoring 17 points and hitting three of his four attempts from beyond the arc.
The Bruins are 4-2 on the road this season where they average 69.3 points per game and allow 65.5 in return. Their only conference road loss this year occurred in Seattle when they fell 75-86 to the Washington Huskies. UCLA also lost to the Sun Devils 58-61 in overtime at the Pauley Pavilion on January 17th.
