September 19 premiere sets precedent for mixed martial arts

The groundbreaking mixed martial arts reality TV series BodogFight premiers tonight online and in millions of homes across America. The series, created and produced by entertainment mogul Calvin Ayre and his Bodog.com Entertainment Group, will be aired on Men's Outdoor and Recreation and on DISH Network, and online at Bodog . Each new weekly episode will air back-to-back on Tuesdays at 11 p.m. and 12 a.m. ET. Check your local listings for times in your area.

Bodog.com's billionaire Founder Calvin Ayre has rounded up the world's greatest MMA fighters. As the series' twists unfold, seven elite modern-day American warriors will earn the right to represent the United States as part of "Team USA" and square off against members of the Russian Red Devils team, a group known for its fierce roster that includes world heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko. To be broadcast live on a future pay-per-view event, this USA vs. Russia grudge match will be an international showdown, leaving one team with global bragging rights and the other team battered and bloodied.

With Bodog live and scheduled for weekly updates, viewers have access to exclusive jaw-dropping, behind-the-scenes footage, interviews and galleries. The BodogFight.com website has clearly accomplished its goal of delivering everything the MMA community could possibly want from the Bodog.com Entertainment Group.

"Having a passion for MMA as a sport, I wanted the BodogFight TV series and interactive website to set new standards for fans," says Calvin Ayre, who sits at the helm of a vast digital entertainment empire that includes an international music label and a television production division, among many other channels. "With bootlegged fight videos for the hardcore fans and uncut, uncensored interviews with the BodogFight referee and fighters, this series has captured all the components and riveting action that MMA offers."

Elimination battles, behind-the-scenes training, interviews with fighters, and lifestyle segments will compose seven of the weekly one-hour "BodogFight" episodes, with the recap finale leading into the PPV main event. The three massive super fights and the spectacular USA vs. Russia event will be produced by the Mixed Fight Championship (MFC) and sponsored by BodogFight.
For biographies of all the fighters, exclusive footage, and unedited interviews and confrontations, go to Bodog. Each of the eight episodes will air simultaneously on the Men's Network and on BodogFight broadband network.
