Larry Rudolph Confirms Britney Spears is in Rehab

Britney Spears checked into rehab today after a weekend of bizarre events which included shaving her head. Her manager Larry Rudolph made a statement saying, "Britney Spears has voluntarily checked herself into an undisclosed rehab facility today. We ask that the media respect her privacy as well as those of her family and friends at this time."

PerezHilton.com is reporting the facility is located in Malibu, California. Photo agencies have hired helicopters in an attempt to capture a photo of Spears. The paparazzi were successful, getting aÂ pictures of Spears at the rehab facility this afternoon. BetUS.com has posted betting odd at OD by end of the year +700.

After pressure from her family, Spears checked into rehab in Antigua last week. She checked herself out the next day and returned to Los Angeles. Shortly after returning home, Britney Spears went to Esther's Haircutting Studio and shaved her head bald.

The salon set up a website, BuyBritneysHair.com, to auction off Spears’ hair after the listing was rejected on Ebay. The starting bid is $1 million and the winner will receive Spears’ hair extensions, the clipper she used to cut her hair, the Red Bull she drank and her cigarette lighter.

Since her split with husband Kevin Federline last year, Britney has started on a downward spiral. Spears became a regular to the party scene, sometimes accompanied by Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan. She was photographed without panties on more than one occasion. Her appearance overall became sloppy.

"We are witnessing Britney in the midst of a breakdown," Ian Drew, editor of Us Weekly magazine said.
Britney’s mother, Lynne Spears, reportedly threatened to take away Britney’s children, Jayden James and Sean Preston, if she did not check into rehab. At this point, someone needs to take the boys away from her. Spears already has a record with the child welfare authorities. They visited her twice in 2006 after she was photographed driving with her son on her lap, and after Sean Preston fell from his high chair.
