Bodog Music recording artist Nazanin's debut single "Someday" was the second most added song in the adult contemporary radio format for the third week in a row. This remarkable start happened in advance of the singer-songwriter's debut release, also titled "Someday," which was released in the United States on April 24.
The song found its way onto 23 radio stations nationwide, including upwards of 20 spins on WILD, LITE, KIXR, and KQCR. With its acoustic styling and heart-felt lyrics about Nazanin's family struggles in her native Iran and their flee to freedom, "Someday" is a touching anthem in its call for human rights.
"I am humbled by the success that 'Someday' is having on the radio, being that this is my debut single," Nazanin says. "This song is very personal, as it is about my family's struggle for freedom and my hopes for all to be free - someday".
Nazanin Afshin-Jam's music career follows her work as a world-renowned human rights activist. Among other accomplishments, this former Miss Canada and Miss World runner-up was in the headlines recently for her efforts to successfully save a girl in Iran, Nazanin Fatehi, from execution for defending herself against rape, as well as bringing international attention to her campaign to stop child executions. Her music is a platform in her global reach for good will and social justice.
