2017 NFL Divisional Playoff Odds

It is perhaps the most exciting weekend of the NFL season as eight teams vie for a spot in two conference championship games. And it has to be more titillating than what last weekend’s Wild Card round gave us, which was four lopsided games. According to Bovada’s latest 2017 NFL Divisional Playoff Odds, the offshore bookmaker is anticipating at least one blowout this weekend, with New England favored by a whopping 16 points over the Houston Texans. The other three games, however, are expected to be more tightly contested.

The Falcons, the two seed in the NFC, are favored by 4.5 points over the Seahawks, who throttled the Lions 26-6 in last week’s Wild Card meeting at CenturyLink Field. Kickoff in tomorrow’s clash between Atlanta and Seattle is set for 4:35pm ET.

The Packers and Cowboys are now first on tap Sunday with the Chiefs/Steelers game getting pushed back to an 8:20pm ET start due to anticipated inclement weather in Kansas City. Dallas is drawing a -4 spread at home in spite of Green Bay’s dominant performance against the Giants last weekend.

Almost everyone, odds makers included, sees Sunday night’s clash between the Steelers and Chiefs as the most intriguing Divisional Round matchup. Kansas City, which suffered two of its four regular season losses at Arrowhead, is lined as a -1 home favorite over Pittsburgh, which extended its winning streak to eight games by defeating Miami 30-12 last weekend.

All four Divisional Playoff games are rematches with the Falcons, Packers, Texans and Chiefs looking to avenge regular season losses to their respective divisional round opponents. Atlanta and Kansas City suffered 26-24 and 43-14 road setbacks to the Seahawks and Steelers, respectively. Green Bay fell 30-16 at home to Dallas in Week 6 and Houston was shut out 27-0 in New England in Week 3.
