NHL Playoffs: Flyers face uphill climb against PenguinsThe Philadelphia Flyers were no match for the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first two games of their Eastern Conference final series, but they will hope that their home fans will be able to inspire them when the two clubs meet at Wachovia Center on Tuesday for Game 3. BetOnline.com has the Pittsburgh Penguins –115 odds road favorites against the Philadelphia Flyers –105 with the total set at 5.5 goals.

The Penguins got the game-winning goal in Game 3's 4-2 win from an unlikely source, as Maxime Talbot scored in his return to the lineup after missing three games with a broken foot. Not only was it surprising that Talbot scored after being injured, but also because he is better known for being the Penguins' defensive stopper. Sidney Crosby had a goal and an assist, while Evgeni Malkin was held scoreless after dominating Game 1 with two goals and an assist. Sergei Gonchar added three assists, while Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 30 shots for the Penguins.

Outside of goalscorers Jeff Carter and Mike Richards, the Flyers could not keep up with the high-flying Penguins. The Flyers tried to be physical with the Penguins in an effort to slow them down, and it backfired as Philadelphia gave up a pair of power-play goals. The Flyers also suffered another blow to their defense when Braydon Coburn left the game after just two minutes, taking a slapshot to the face.

The Penguins are -115 favorites on the road  in this contest, and overall, Pittsburgh just has too many weapons for the Flyers to handle. But Philadelphia has a solid 4-1 record at Wachovia Center during this postseason run, and they will put forth a massive effort in Game 3 to take a much-needed victory on Tuesday, as they will be spurred on by their home crowd.
